Service Description

This class will be held on 12/16/25 from 6:30-8:30 Central Time (7:30-9:30ET) via ZOOM and includes prescribing of controlled substances education which included instruction in the TN Chronic pain guidelines. You will receive 2 CEUs for joining. The link to join the ZOOM meeting will be sent 24-48 hours prior to the class. Midwest OSHA & Education is an ADA CERP recognized provider. ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Angela Study is a member of the ADA, the IDA (Indiana Dental Association) and her local components. She has served in multiple leadership roles for Safe Families for Children where she was in direct contact with parents struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. Angela is a member of the NAADAC an organization that prepares health care professionals to deal with patients affected by drug and alcohol abuse. Angela has achieved her Online Training Certificate of Achievement - Adolescent Treatment and Recovery. Angela also specializes in the topics of infection control, implicit bias and dental ethics and law. Course Objectives: 1. Define chemical dependency 2. Learn how chemical dependence and codependency affects the entire family 3. Learn about the dynamics of chemical dependence 4. Define the prevalence and economic impact of tobacco smoke exposure on public health 5. Identify the oral manifestations of multiple chemicals 6. Prepare the listener to properly educate patients on the adverse reactions of drug and alcohol abuse 7. Understand prescribing of controlled substance and Chronic Pain Guidelines
