This class is Michigan Ethics and Jurisprudence with inclusion of delegation of duties to allied personnel. You will receive 1 live CE from attending this class. The class will be held on 08/12/2026 via ZOOM from 6:30-7:30 pm EST. You will receive the ZOOM link to join the class 24-48 hours prior to the class (Make sure to check your junk mail for the email). Class objectives: 1. Describe five key ethical principles; autonomy, beneficence, justice, veracity, and non-maleficence, and the guidance they provide to dental providers. 2. Describe fundamental legal principles important to dental providers, including contracts, intentional and unintentional torts, informed consent, and informed refusal. 3. Emphasize the importance of record keeping, and include specific examples of what content should be included, including a template that can be modified to meet individual needs. 4. Present a framework to resolve frequently encountered ethical dilemmas. 5. Present the delegation and assigned duties in Table 1 of the board rules, and explain the levels of supervision You will receive the CE Certificate immediately following the submission of a short quiz. The instructor for this class is Angela Study. Angela has been a dental hygienist for 25 years and is a member of the ADHA, the IDHA (Indiana Dental Hygiene Association), as well as the local component (Isaac Knapp District Dental Society). Angela has completed the Dale Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control Certificate Program and performs OSHA Training throughout the country. Angela sits on the board of directors for McMillan Health and has served on the Leadership committee for Safe Families for Children.
